European Day of Languages 2026 in Tashkent
Join us on 30 September to celebrate Europe’s rich linguistic and cultural diversity and discover how languages can open doors to new cultures, friendships, education and opportunities.
Bringing together Team Europe, diplomatic missions, cultural organisations, universities, students, language learners and the wider public, the European Day of Languages 2026 will offer a full day of interactive activities in Tashkent.
Daytime Programme
10:00–13:00
Uzbekistan State World Languages University
The programme will feature language presentations by native speakers through songs, phrases, words and interactive learning activities.
A Language Fair will run in parallel, with country tables offering games, quizzes, cultural information and opportunities to discover different European languages.
SpeakEasy Night
19:00–21:30
Goethe-Institut, A. Temur Str. 42, Tashkent
Join us for a special evening featuring:
- Short-film screening and discussion
- Language tables and interactive games
- Speed networking and cultural exchange
- DJ set featuring music from participating European countries
- And much more

Organised under the EUNIC umbrella the event is open to students, language learners, university representatives, diplomats, cultural organisations, media representatives and everyone interested in European languages and cultures.
