20 EU EOM long-term election observers return back to Monrovia Liberia

The EU has re-deployed 20 long-term election observers to Liberia. The teams will observe the second round of Presidential elections scheduled for 07 November 2017.

After arriving in Monrovia late on Sunday evening 20 long-term election observers are briefed on latest developments in Liberia on Monday. EU Ambassador Helene Cavé has welcomed the observers in Monrovia. The core-team analysts briefed about the political, legal and electoral developments after the first round of elections. The LTOs will be deployed to all regions in Liberia early Tuesday morning. Later shortly before election day 34 short-term observers will reinforce the EU Election Observation Mission in Liberia.
