On 3 February, during his visit to Moscow, Deputy Secretary General (DSG)/Political Director of the European External Action Service (EEAS) Enrique Mora held a bilateral meeting with Deputy Foreign Minister Ryabkov to discuss the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPoA) and Venezuela.

DSG Mora also held separate meetings with Deputy Foreign Minister Grushko, Deputy Foreign Minister Rudenko and Deputy Foreign Minister Bogdanov to exchange views on a number of bilateral, regional and other international issues.

The consultations took place ahead of the visit to Russia of the EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy/Vice-President of the European Commission, Josep Borrell, scheduled for 4-6 February.
