EEAS: High Representative Kaja Kallas confirms middle and senior management nominations
Kaja Kallas, the High Representative of the Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy and Vice-President of the European Commission, has confirmed the appointment of 3 Senior Managers in HQ, as well as 6 Heads of Delegation and 1 Chargé d’affaires a.i. of the European Union.
DelphinePRONK has been appointed as the Managing Director for AMERICAS. She has previously, among other functions, served as the EEAS Chair of the Political and Security Committee (PSC) of the European Union and as Ambassador and Representative of the Kingdom of the Netherlands to the PSC.
Erik KURZWEIL has been appointed as Managing Director for ASIAPAC. He is currently serving as the Director for Indo Pacific Policy, South Asia and Afghanistan at the German Federal Foreign Office. He has previously, among other posts, served as Director-General for International Relations, Media Policy and Protocol at the German Federal Foreign Office.
Lene MANDEL VENSILD has been appointed as Ambassador and the EEAS Chair of the Political and Security Committee (PSC). She is currently serving as Ambassador and Representative of The Kingdom of Denmark to the PSC. She has previously, among other positions, held the position of Head of Department at the Danish Prime Minister’s Office.
Rune SKINNEBACH has been appointed as the EU Ambassador to Ghana. He has previously, among other roles, been serving as the EU Ambassador to Malawi and as Deputy Head of Division for Pan-African Affairs at the EEAS.
Rémi DUFLOT has been appointed as the EU Ambassador to Kyrgyzstan. He has previously, among other functions, served as the Deputy Head of the European Union Delegation to Ukraine and as the Deputy Special Representative of the OSCE Chairman-in-Office in Ukraine.
Alberto CEREZO has been appointed as the EU Ambassador to Mali. He is currently serving as Ambassador at large for the Sahel at the Spanish Ministry of Foreign Affairs. He has formerly, among other functions, served as the Ambassador of Spain to Mozambique and Eswatini.
Daniel ARISTI GAZTELUMENDI has been appointed as the EU Ambassador to Malawi. He has earlier, in addition to other functions, served as the EU Ambassador to Burkina Faso and as Deputy Head of Division for Egypt, Jordan, Lebanon, Syria and the League of Arab States in the EEAS.
Wolfram VETTER has been appointed as the Chargé d'affaires a.i. to Sudan. He has previously, among other posts, served as the Head of Division for Support to Delegations in the EEAS and as EU Ambassador to Burkina Faso and Burundi.
Luisa RAGHER has been appointed as the EU Ambassador to Thailand. She has previously, among other roles, held the position of Head of Division for Southern Africa and the Indian Ocean and Deputy Head of Delegation to Thailand.
Cécile TASSIN has been appointed as the EU Ambassador to Trinidad and Tobago. She has previously, among other posts, held the posts of Head of Unit and Adviser to the Director in the Directorate for Africa in DG INTPA and Head of Cooperation in the EU Delegation to the Democratic Republic of Congo.
Katrin HAGEMANN has been appointed as the EU Ambassador to Zimbabwe. She has previously, among other roles, served as Head of Division for Central Africa in the EEAS and Deputy Head of Delegation to Kenya.
