The European Union and Argentina conduct their bilateral relations within the Framework Agreement for trade and economic cooperation of 1990, that establishes the basis for cooperation in foreign trade, economy, agriculture and industry. Under this framework agreement, there are specific cooperation agreements on fisheries, peaceful use of nuclear energy; and scientific and technological cooperation.
