General Albl visits the Central African Republic (26 - 29 Nov 2022)

The European Union Training Mission in Central Africa Republic (EUTM CAR) hosted the Deputy Director and Chief of Staff of the Military Planning and Conduct Capability (MPCC), Major General Werner Albl, between 26 and 29 Nov 2022.

During his visit, General Albl met the CAR President, H.E. Prof TOUADERA, the Minister of Defence and the Deputy Chief of Defence. He also met the Special Representative of the Secretary General and Head of MINUSCA, the EU Head of Delegation, the EUAM Head of Mission, the French ambassador, and the MINUSCA Force Commander. He supervised the work recently done by EUTM and discussed the current and future activities in support of CAR Armed Forces and the Ministry of Defence with CAR authorities. General Albl attended the military parade at Moana Camp and visited the Kassaï Training Centre, where the Education Pillar is running a Microsoft Office Course to Central African Armed Forces (FACA) and National Gendarmerie.

Despite the challenging political and security situation, the EU’s and EUTM CAR’s work remain highly visible, credible and well appreciated by the CAR political and military authorities, as well as by the international partners for its contribution to the Defence Sector Reform and the capacity building of the Armed Forces of Central Africa Republic.
