Brussels, 05 December 2025 — The EU’s second Crisis Management Military Exercise of 2025 (MILEX 25-II) concluded today at the Military Planning and Conduct Capability (MPCC) in Brussels.

The European Union Military Staff hosts the NATO International Military Staff for the 24 th EUMS–IMS Directors’ General Conference.

Brussels – On the 28th and 29th of October, the European quarter in Brussels became the epicentre of European military readiness, as the EU Military Staff hosted the EU Military Rapid Deployment Capacity Coordination Conference (RDC3 2/2025). This landmark event, held alongside the 24 th Global Force Generation Conference (GFGC), was convened to solidify member states' commitments under the EU Military Rapid Response Concept.

On 16 September, Operation ATALANTA Operation Commander, Vice Admiral Ignacio Villanueva Serrano, visited the Europol Headquarters in The Hague to sign a Working Arrangement with Europol that establishes a framework for cooperation between ATALANTA and Europol.

At the end of August 2025, Brigadier General Katrien D’Hert will conclude her tenure as EUMS Logistics Director — a role she has held since February 2023 — to assume her new position as Deputy Assistant Chief of Staff for Resources and Operations in the Belgian Armed Forces.

Brussels, 16–18 June – The 15 th edition of the Annual Meeting of Human Rights and Gender Advisers was officially launched by Stefano Tomat, Civilian Operations Commander and Managing Director of the Civilian Operations Headquarters (CivOpsHQ); Brigadier General Katrien D’Hert, Director of Logistics at the EU Military Staff (EUMS); and Cosmin Dobran, Director of Peace, Partnerships and Crisis Management. The event brought together representatives from 21 EU Common Security and Defence Policy (CSDP) civilian and military missions and operations.

On Monday 23 June 2025, the Deputy Director General and Chief of Staff of the European Union Military Staff, Major General Gabor HORVATH welcomed the Deputy Commander of EUROCORPS Major General Geoffroy DE LAROUZIERE and his staff to the EUMS for the 8 th EUMS – EUROCORPS Management Level Meeting (MLM).

Brussels, 11 April 2025 — The Rapid Deployment Capacity Coordination Conference (RDC3) took place from 08 to 09 April 2025 in Brussels, successfully bringing together EU Member States and partner Third States to strengthen coordination and coherence within the EU’s Common Security and Defence Policy (CSDP).
