KIWA Initiative for the resilience of Pacific States

The aim of the initiative is to support nature-based solutions for biodiversity and climate change adaptation in the Pacific, two major inseparable issues. Nature-based solutions help adapt to climate change and preserve biodiversity for the wellbeing of communities, coming with many benefits: food security, health, disaster mitigation, economic resilience, closing the gender gap.
It now has five funding partners: France, the European Union, Canada, Australia and New Zealand, and a budget totalling €35 million. Read more
