The EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy/Vice-President of the European Commission, Kaja Kallas, will travel to Madrid on Monday 31 March to attend the ‘Weimar +’ meeting with representatives of France, Germany, Poland, Italy, Spain and the UK. Commissioner Kubilius will also participate. 

Ahead of the informal Foreign Affairs Council - Defence in Warsaw on 2-3 April, the meeting in Madrid will allow for exchanges on the Joint White Paper on European Defence / Readiness 2030 and how to strengthen European security as well as support to Ukraine. 

The High Representative will give a live doorstep upon arrival. Audiovisual material of the meeting will be available on EbS.
