Media advisory: High Representative/Vice-President Kaja Kallas travels to Armenia and Azerbaijan

On 4-5 May, the High Representative/Vice-President (HR/VP) Kaja Kallas is visiting Armenia and Azerbaijan.

On 4 May, the HR/VP will attend the meeting of the European Political Community (EPC), in Yerevan, Armenia. Press remarks are expected upon her arrival. The EPC meeting will be followed by the first-ever EU-Armenia Summit. The HR/VP will join a meeting of leaders hosted by Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, with the participation of President of the European Council António Costa and President of the of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen.

On 5 May, the HR/VP will join the EU-Armenia Summit at leaders’ level.

On the same day, the HR/VP will travel to Azerbaijan. The HR/VP will hold a series of bilateral meetings at political level, including with President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and Minister of Foreign Affairs Jeyhun Bayramov.
