Ode to the Stars and the Moon

A star and moon gazing event that will give the chance to those interested in Astronomy to rediscover the wonders of the celestial bodies through the presentations and telescopes of astronomers from the EU and the Philippines. The event will take place on 6 June around 8:00pm - 9:30pm (Manila Time).

This is an opportunity for families and children and youth to learn more about the stars which are symbolically associated with the EU’s 12 stars (unity, solidarity and harmony).

As such, this virtual gathering intends to convey messages of hope and positivity to Filipinos amidst this pandemic.

This is the first ever virtual event of the EU Delegation and the Philippine Astronomical Society together with Junior Astronomers but the second to be undertaken in the country involving the Delegation.
