Official visit of EU High Representative Kaja Kallas to Lithuania

During her time in Lithuania, the HR/VP met with the President of the Republic of Lithuania, Gitanas Nausėda, on 7 September. She then met the Lithuanian Prime Minister, Mindaugas Sinkevičius, after which they delivered a joint statement. In the evening, HR/VP Kallas met representatives of the Lithuanian Women Diplomats’ Network and attended the reception marking the Annual Meeting of Heads of Lithuanian Diplomatic Missions.

On 8 September, HR/VP Kallas held bilateral meetings with the Lithuanian Minister of Foreign Affairs, Kęstutis Budrys, the Minister of National Defence, Robertas Kaunas, and the Speaker of the Lithuanian Parliament, Juozas Olekas. She also took part in a fireside chat with Minister Budrys at the Annual Meeting of the Heads of Diplomatic Missions. Later that day, the HR/VP visited Vilnius University for a discussion with students. Her visit concluded with a trip to the Padvarionys Frontier Station.
