How does the slogan ‘Creativity empowers us together’ resonate with you?

'It perfectly encapsules the essence of my work as I believe that my project, same as the vast majority, is a coral and collective work where we all get to show and expand our talent. Besides, I always develop my art with LGBTIQ+ people who also happen to be my closest friends and chosen family. The queer communities have always connected through art and we are still sticking together through art.'

Can creativity help to shape a world where everyone feels included and valued, regardless of their background or identity?

'Absolutely yes. In fact, it’s not a coincidence that extreme right parties are making AI’s aesthetic its flagship. Creativity feeds the critical spirit, art creates community and getting to see the world through different perspectives might as well make you consider that the cultural, economic and social structures we reproduce and participate in may not be as natural as they taught us or even that they are unfair and should be changed. Of course this will be perceived as a danger for those who stand with these reactionaries and hateful politics because art has always had the power to make us see beyond what we learned life should be.'

How do you see your creative work contributing to political and social change?

'My lyrics are pretty much politically explicit. I always sing and talk about queer experiences or class consciousness in my music and my shows. Furthermore, I always try to share an interesting vision in all of the interviews I do because I also deeply believe that my life is part of my art. Therefore, being visibly queer is a perpetual performance.'
