Summary Report: EU-GCC Hydrogen Study Tour May 2026

The EU-GCC Hydrogen Study Tour brought together representatives from GCC ministries, authorities, research institutions and energy-related entities for a focused programme across Antwerp, Rotterdam and Brussels. Organised under the EU-GCC Cooperation on Green Transition Project, the tour explored renewable hydrogen, hydrogen derivatives, certification, clean energy corridors, port infrastructure and future EU-GCC market opportunities.

From technical visits to the Ports of Antwerp-Bruges and Rotterdam, to discussions at the World Hydrogen Summit and meetings with European Commission representatives, the study tour provided valuable insights into how Europe and the Gulf can strengthen cooperation in the emerging hydrogen economy.
