Summary Report | Webinar 2 | Water Resilience in the GCC

The second webinar of the Resilient Green Transition Webinar Series 2026, held on 6 July 2026, explored how the GCC can strengthen long-term water resilience in the face of rising demand, climate pressures and growing interdependence between water and energy systems. Bringing together EU and regional experts, the discussion examined sustainable desalination, smart water management, wastewater reuse, infrastructure resilience, ecosystem protection and opportunities for enhanced EU-GCC cooperation. This report summarises the key insights, audience reflections and strategic takeaways from the session.
