On 5 April, High Representative Federica Mogherini chaired "Supporting the future of Syria and the Region". Attended by representatives from 70 countries, international organisations and civil society, the conference gave an extra push to end violence in Syria, reaffirmed support for the political talks in Geneva and started preparing the post-conflict situation. Donors made a collective pledge of $6 billion for this year alone.
