Syria: Statement by the Spokesperson on the terrorist attack in Central Damascus

The European Union strongly condemns the terrorist attack that took place on 2 July in Musheyreyyeh Café in Central Damascus.

We express our condolences and sympathy to the victims and their families.

The European Union reaffirms its commitment in support of a peaceful and inclusive transition in Syria and its rejection of all forms of violence.

The EU will continue engaging with the Syrian Transitional government in the fight against terrorism.
