In a small town where everything seems to run smoothly and by the book, an ordinary literature lesson sparks a seismic event. What begins with teacher Ana’s suggestion of a film to help students better understand the poetry of Arthur Rimbaud, sets in motion a tightening vice-like grip. Katalin Moldovai go abouts her directorial debut with a quietly suffocating story, featuring a memorable performance by Ágnes Krasznahorkai.
‘Painting a clinically precise portrait of the ostracisation process of one individual and its social mechanisms, Katalin Moldovai takes the time to carefully examine all its steps and nuances.’ (Cineuropa)
