EUMA Celebrates the 10th Anniversary of the Youth, Peace and Security Agenda
Ten years ago, the UN Security Council Resolution 2250 made history by recognizing the critical role young people play in building peace, preventing conflict, and leading to recovery in communities. EUMA believes in the power of youth voices and remains committed to advancing the Youth, Peace and Security (YPS) agenda.
EUMA proudly observed International Youth Day, which took place on August 12th, and celebrated the 10th anniversary of the YPS agenda by welcoming Armenian youth leaders to EUMA’s Headquarters in Yeghegnadzor for a discussion on peacebuilding and youth empowerment.

The youth joined the Mission following their involvement in the Youth For Peace in South Caucasus program, organized by Community Development NGO. The program recognizes youth as integral agents of change and aim to develop their personal networks and leadership skills, thereby contributing to a more peaceful Southern Caucasus.

The Mission is grateful for the opportunity to continue to listen, learn, and celebrate the courage and contributions of young leaders driving positive change and peacekeeping.
Happy International Youth Day and the 10th Anniversary to the YPS agenda.
