Between the 4th and 6th May 2016, implementers from EU Chemical, Biological, Radiological and Nuclear Centres of Excellence (CBRN CoE) Project 46 visited Putrajaya in Malaysia to carry out their initial fact-finding mission. The mission enabled experts from the project to meet with key Malaysian CBRN personnel, including members of the Malaysian CBRN National Team and CBRN First Responders. The experts ...could also visit key CBRN facilities within Malaysia, such as the Fire and Rescue Service Academy, where they witnessed a CBRN demonstration by firefighters, and the Atomic Energy Licensing Board (AELB) Radiological Emergency Centre.

The mission, which was coordinated by the CBRN National Focal Point for Malaysia, Mr. Lum Wan Liang from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, was very successful, enabling the project team and Malaysian CBRN National Team members to agree on a number of priority areas on which the project will focus as the project is implemented in Malaysia.
