EU support to public administration reform in Eastern Partnership countries
On 6-7 October, the 11th Eastern Partnership Public Administration Reform Panel took place in Warsaw. Under the chairmanship of the EEAS, this dialogue convenes twice a year and gathers practitioners from EU services, all six partner countries, Member States and associated organizations such as the OECD or the Council of Europe to exchange best practice in public administration reform. This session of the Panel was organized in cooperation with the Polish Civil Service Department within the Chancellery of the Prime Minister.
On this occasion, participants discussed harmonization of human resource management, and exchanged points of view on public finance management. The latest trends on public service delivery were also presented. On the 7th of October, the Panel visited the Polish National School of Public Administration in order to learn more about Poland's transition experience in this field, as well as on the Eastern Partnerships Public Administration Academy, which is embedded within the school. The next PAR Panel meeting will take place in the spring in Kyiv, Ukraine.
