Eastern Partnership: fourth CSDP training programme started
From 23 to 26 January, the CSDP orientation course was held in Brussels (Thon Hotel). The main topics focused on the structures and procedures of the CSDP, and a one-day workshop on conflict analysis was also provided by the Kennedy Institute (Ireland).
The programme is run by the Eastern Partnership Panel and the Commission's DG NEAR funds the participation of the Eastern Partnership (EaP) countries. The EaP is a joint initiative involving the EU, its Member States and six eastern European partners: Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Moldova and Ukraine. It is based on a commitment to the principles of international law and fundamental values: democracy, the rule of law, human rights and fundamental freedoms. It also encompasses support for a market economy, sustainable development and good governance.
