High Representative/Vice-President Federica Mogherini travels to Washington, D.C.
The High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy/Vice-President of the European Commission, Federica Mogherini, will travel to Washington on Thursday 9 and Friday 10 February. During her visit, the HR/VP will meet the U.S. Secretary of State, Rex Tillerson, White House Advisor, Jared Kushner, and U.S. National Security Advisor, Michael Flynn. She will also meet several U.S. Senators, including the Chairman of the Senate Foreign Affairs Committee, Senator Bob Corker, the Chairman of the Senate Armed Services Committee, Senator John McCain, and the Chairman of the Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee and Chairman of the Senate Subcommittee on Europe and Regional Security Cooperation, Senator Ron Johnson. On Friday, the High Representative/Vice-President will appear at the Atlantic Council to discuss how the European Union can build a strong relationship with the new U.S. administration.
