EU Trade Commissioner Cecilia Malmström on official visit to Canada
Ottawa – European Union Trade Commissioner Cecilia Malmström will make an official visit to Canada on 20-21 March, her first as Trade Commissioner. The two-day visit includes stops in Toronto and Ottawa and aims to advance the implementation of the EU-Canada Comprehensive Economic and Trade Agreement (CETA).
During her visit, Commissioner Malmström will hold meetings with the Hon. François-Philippe Champagne, International Trade Minister, and with various EU and Canadian business leaders and businesses gearing up for CETA implementation. Highlights of her visits also include keynote speeches at the Munk School of Global Affairs in Toronto and at an event hosted by Canada 2020 in Ottawa.
