The programme is developed within the DCI/Global Public Goods and Challenges 2014-2020 programme.

The main objective is to promote intercultural dialogue, cultural diversity and respect for equal dignity. The programme includes two lots. The first one aims at actions that strengthen cultural pluralism and intercultural understanding (aspects related to religion or belief) and the second lot targets actions that enhance dialogue, social inclusion, skills development and social cohesion using cultural means. The focus is on vulnerable and disadvantaged populations such as persons belonging to minorities, migrants, women, girls and disabled.
