In the afternoon of April 21, EU Ambassador H.E. Michael Reiterer and 30 representatives of European companies in Korea attended a luncheon with Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of Korea H.E. Chung Sye-kyun, organised by the European Chamber of Commerce Korea. The afternoon’s discussion focused on how to increase foreign investment opportunities in Korea and issues on the related policies. During his opening speech, Mr Chung stressed that he hopes one day the Korean peninsula can achieve untiy and mutual growth like the European integration and the resolution of tensions on the Korean peninsula should be achieved by peaceful means. Also, he noted that he believes EU and Korea will remain, strong and close partners, building on ties to ensure prosperity of both nations in the years ahead.
