The European Union Delegation to Somalia joins the rest of the world to wish the people of Somalia a peaceful and blessed Ramadan and hopes the spirit of this Holly Islamic month will be transformed into action to help those less fortunate members of the society amid the drought situation.

As the holiest month, Ramadan marks a month long period of generosity, prayers, forgiveness and reconciliation. We hope its magic brings the Somalis together for a common good of their country and the sake of their children's future.

“May this special holy month bring peace, happiness and prosperity to all Somalis. We hope these virtues become part and parcel of the life of the Somali people today, tomorrow and always. Ramadan Kareem to you all,” EU Ambassador to Somalia Veronique Lorenzo said.
