In supporting Nigeria to establish a more enabling environment for the fulfilment of girls’ and women’s rights and to achieve real and tangible improvements in gender equality, the European Union Delegation to Nigeria organised a one-day seminar on "Reducing Institutional and Cultural Barriers for Young Women’s Entrepreneurship".

Prominent Nigerian women were invited to discuss and share their experiences. Some of the topics discussed at the seminar:

• Navigating Cultural and Social Norms by Ndidi Nwuneli MFR-  Nigerian social entrepreneur. She has over 21 years of experience in International Development and Business Management working with multinational firms, the public sector, and international organizations.
• Creating an Enabling Business Environment for Women Entrepreneurs -Toki Mabogunje: A business development consultant interested in the growth and management of businesses on the African continent. She currently serves as a Vice President of the Lagos Chamber of Commerce and Industry amongst other Board positions
• Taking Advantage of Mentorship Networks- Amina Oyagbola: The founder WISCARS (Women in Successful Careers) and former HR Executive, MTN Nigeria.
• My Startup Story - Ola (Orekunrin) Brown- A British-Nigerian medical doctor and Managing director of Flying Doctors Nigeria; a Medical Agency Service, based in Lagos, Nigeria.
