Get ready to experience the street in a different way! The Safe Streets Festival will take place on Saturday 25 November 2017 in Central Monrovia, on Broad Street. It is time to run, walk, jam, rap, dance, play, laugh and much much more!!! Join us on the 25th of November for a day to be remembered.

The Safe Streets Festival promotes mobility and road safety in the transport sector of Liberia.  It is organised by the Ministry of Transport with assistance from the European Union and the German Cooperation.

Drama sketches on road safety by the Salesian Youth Movement

Cultural performance by the National Cultural Troupe of Liberia

Comedy performance by Angel Michael

Cultural performance & free African dance class by the School of Liberian Arts and Dance

On RANDALL ST.

10:00am – 6:00 pm           Orange Money Market Place between Broad and Ashmun St.:      Stands with Liberian handmade arts and crafts, Hair styling and make-up, fashion, foods and beverages.

On BROAD ST.

Stands with Road Safety Education, Children Play Area (bouncing castle, table tennis), Basketball, Test your Bicycle Skills.

Additional Event: Wednesday November 22, 2017, 4 P.M. to 7 P.M.

Panel Discussion: “What can we do to make roads safer in Liberia?”

Kofi Annan Institute for Conflict Transformation (KAICT)

Stakeholders from Ministries of Transport and Public Works, Police, Unions and Academia discuss way forward.

Venue: University of Liberia Auditorium, Capitol Hill Campus, Capitol By-pass.
