Agenda highlights
The ASEM foreign ministers meeting will take place in Na Pyi Taw, Myanmar, on 20-21 November.
It will bring together foreign affairs ministers from Europe and Asia as part of the Asia-Europe Meeting (ASEM).
The High Representative of the Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Federica Mogherini will lead the EU delegation.
Foreign ministers will discuss how to address key challenges affecting both continents, such as :
- security
- trade
- climate change
- sustainable development goals
- connectivity
This meeting will kick-start the preparations for the 12th ASEM summit which will be hosted by the EU in Brussels in October 2018.
