Dirk Dubois receives Golden Ring of the Austrian Military Academy

The Commandant of the Theresian Military Academy, Major-General Karl Pronhagl, awarded the Golden Ring of the Academy to Mr Dirk Dubois, Head of the ESDC, in recognition of his continued efforts for the internationalisation of young officers' education in Austria.

Indeed, since 2008, Dirk Dubois has been actively involved in what is commonly known as 'military Erasmus', an initiative to increase the mobility of young military officers between the different EU military education institutes. He is only the third non-Austrian to be awarded this ring.
