Enterprise Europe Network Armenia

The Enterprise Europe Network is a European initiative, aimed at providing innovation and business support to all businesses across the European Union and beyond.

Launched officially in February 2008, the EEN comprises close to 600 partners in more than 60 countries offering a wide range of services to businesses. The Fund “Small and Medium Entrepreneurship Development National Center of Armenia” is the Business Cooperation Center of EEN in Armenia (www.eenarmenia.am). 

The Framework Partnership Agreement is signed between SMEDNC of Armenia and European Commission for 2016-2020. At present the project for 2017-2018 is in the implementation phase. 

Actions in Brief

The activity of EEN in Armenia is directed to the internationalization of Armenian entrepreneurship and to enlargement of their opportunities for entering into European markets, to development of their innovative capacities and technological advancement http://een.ec.europa.eu. Starting from 2016, the Fund “Small and Medium Entrepreneurship Development National Center of Armenia” has created a Consortium with the National Academy of Science of the Republic of Armenia, which hosts the Enterprise Europe Network in Armenia.

 

Services offered by the EEN Armenia are as follows:

  • Providing information on European legislation, policies, standards, possible sources of financing, business cooperation opportunities and other EU issues,
  • Providing information to foreign entrepreneurs on business environment of Armenia, competitive sectors, internal legislation, export and import procedures, as well as other similar issues,
  • Supporting SMEs to identify potential business partners and to establish new business cooperation,
  • Dissemination of business and technological profiles of Armenian businesses in foreign countries, by the help of continually updated cooperation database and respectively dissemination of foreign business cooperation profiles among Armenian entrepreneurs,
  • Supporting on new technology transfer, development of scientific design development, implementation of joint research and approbation works, commercialization issues,
  • Organization of business cooperation events and supporting in organization of meetings with potential partners,
  • Supporting to carry out the negotiations and endorse cooperation agreements.
