Head of the "Future is Ours" Non-Traditional Vegetables Production Cooperative, Gargar Community, Lori Marz

With the help of the European Union, Armenian farmers produce non-traditional vegetables. Women from Lori marz know that broccoli, savoy cabbage and brussels sprout, physalis and aragula are very useful and they enter the market with these less familiar vegetables. How does the Lori women's business plan develop? Mrs. Armine, one of the women framers from Gargar answers the question.

- We have got this beautiful tunnel greenhouse, which has made our work very easy. ENPARD also gave us seeds, funnels, drip irrigation system and other technologies for free which were useful not only for the cooperative members, but also for the whole village. Broccoli has become the brand of Gargar. Last year we sold our broccoli not only in our marz but also outside,  and we also had many buyers from the neighbouring villages.

The members of the "Future is Ours" non-traditional vegetables production cooperative have far-reaching goals. They are preparing to produce pickled broccoli and baby food.
