EUMAM UA: Strengthening Ukraine Through Partnership and Progress

During one of the most challenging periods in Ukraine’s modern history, the Special Training Command (ST-C) of EUMAM UA emerged as a quiet but powerful force driving resilience, capability, and cooperation. What began as a modest coordination body grew into a cornerstone of Ukraine’s efforts to modernise its institutions, strengthen civil-military cooperation, and build structures aligned with European standards.

Over the past months, the Special Training Command (ST-C) has stood at the heart of Europe’s support to Ukraine. As the multinational hub of @EUMAM_UA, the ST-C, together with the EU and 22 partner nations, has delivered nonstop, high-impact training in Germany to strengthen Ukraine’s defence.

From Patriot and Gepard air-defence training to Leopard and Leopard 1 tank expertise, Ukrainian soldiers have gained advanced skills essential for protecting their skies, infrastructure, and frontline operations. VR-based crew training, artillery coordination, and expanded air-defence modules (including IRIS-T and RCH 155) demonstrate Europe’s unwavering commitment.

With every course completed, the EU and ST-C deepen their partnership—modernising capabilities, boosting readiness, and ensuring Ukraine has the tools it needs to defend its freedom.

The EU stands with Ukraine.

EUMAM UA

The EU Military Assistance Mission in support of Ukraine (EUMAM Ukraine) is aimed at strengthening the capacity of the Ukrainian Armed Forces to defend Ukraine’s territorial integrity within its internationally recognised borders and to deter and respond to possible future military offensives by Russia and other potential aggressors. EUMAM works closely together with all other like-minded international partners to provide training support to the Ukrainian Armed Forces. EUMAM is open to the participation of third states. All mission activities are located on EU soil. So far, 24 EU Member States have offered training modules and personnel. The training is supported by the provision of equipment for lethal and non-lethal purposes to the Ukrainian Armed Forces. This equipment is provided by Member States and funded by the European Peace Facility.
