Botswana Human Resource Development Sector Policy Support Programme

The programme intends to support Botswana achieve the goals of the Vision 2016 and the 10th National Development Plan towards establishing a prosperous, productive and innovative society.

The main goals of the programme are to contribute to poverty reduction, promotion of life-long learning and putting into place the National Human Resources Development Strategy (NHRDS), as well as mitigating the impact of HIV/AIDS in the country.

The HRDSP support programme will work with the Botswana authorities to strengthen efficient management of the education sector and improve national measures to prevent HIV/AIDS. In addition, the programme contributes to the development of a comprehensive costed education sector plan, progress against the Millenium Development Goals and promote the implementation of public finance reforms.
