We are

The EU Delegation in Buenos Aires represents the European Union in the Republic of Argentina, working in close coordination with the Embassies of the EU Member States. The Delegation ensures bilateral relations in the political, economic, trade, scientific, technological and cooperation areas.
The Regional Team Americas (based in Brasilia) is part of the Service for Foreign Policy Instruments (FPI), a Commission service which is under the direct authority of HR/VP Mogherini. FPI has a unique position, working not only closely with the European External Action Service (EEAS) but also with other Commission services, both in Headquarters and in Delegations.
The Regional Team closely collaborates with Delegations in the Americas Region, relevant external actors and with the Service for Foreign Policy Instruments and other services in Brussels to conceptualise, elaborate and implement activities to be funded through the Partnership Instrument and the Instrument contributing to Stability and Peace.
The Regional Team Americas is composed of 10 very motivated staff members, including 1 AD, 1 AST, 5 CA and 3 LA.
Team spirit, a strong sense of initiative and responsibility is a common feature of all team members.

We propose the post of Programme Officer in the Delegation in Buenos Aires responsible for FPI work in Argentina, Chile and Uruguay, who will work under the direct responsibility of the Head of Delegation in Buenos Aires and of the Head of the Regional Team Americas.

Essential selection criteria:

• At least 5 years of relevant experience in project management;
• Excellent English and Spanish verbal & written communication skills;
• Knowledge of, and experience in, the region would be an advantage;
• Effective use of Office automation tools, etc.
