India has once again been victim of a terrorist attack today in Jammu and Kashmir’s Pulwama district.

The bomb attack killed more than 40 persons among the Indian paramilitary forces. Terrorism can never be justified. The European Union expresses its deep sadness and condolences to the families of the victims and wishes a speedy recovery to those who were injured.

As a strategic partner of India, the EU reaffirms its full solidarity at such a difficult moment. The European Union stands by India in fighting terrorism and will continue to strengthen its cooperation in this regard.
