The Uganda Railway Museum, the first of its kind in Uganda and the second in East Africa, opened March 16, 2022 in a project put together by the Cross-Cultural Foundation of Uganda (CCFU) in partnership with the Uganda Railways Corporation (URC), and with support of the European Union and SOGEA-SATOM.

In many places around the world, human rights and democracy are under threat. While we combat the global pandemic, multiple challenges are mounting in particular for the most vulnerable communities. As we celebrate Human Rights Day, the EU re-commits to stand and speak out for the oppressed and those under threat, wherever they may live.

To cast a spotlight on the need for all stakeholders to do more to end impunity for crimes against journalists, the EU Delegation to Uganda and the Uganda National Commission for UNESCO jointly organized a hybrid high level public debate under the theme: “End Impunity, Protect Journalists”.
