Message from the Ambassador

For the EU, Chile is a key partner in building a more democratic, secure and prosperous region

Dear visitor,

Welcome to the website of the European Union Delegation to Chile, which I hope will be of interest to you.

Chile and the European Union are very close partners who share history and culture, but also values and a vision of the challenges we need to face, be it the defence of democracy and human rights in the world, climate change, or the consolidation of a real multilateralism.

This affinity is reflected in the European Union being the first investor in Chile, the third trade partner, in the hundreds of thousands of citizens of both continents who share the Chilean along with another European nationality, and also in the expectation with which Europe follows everything that happens in Chile, especially the current constitutional process.

These pages provide more detailed information about the different aspects of our bilateral relationship, as well as the links to access the pages of EU Member State Embassies, both the 18 resident Embassies and those with multiple accreditations.

León de la Torre Krais, Ambassador of the European Union to Chile.
