The Commission encouraged Bosnia and Herzegovina to continue with necessary reforms, step-up considerably their efforts to enhance institutional and administrative capacities, speed-up legislative alignment and development of countrywide strategies as well as to improve coordination in all areas.
The Commission stressed the importance of fully respecting the provisions of the Stabilisation and Association Agreement (SAA) related to trade and to step up efforts across chapters 11, 12 and 13 as considerable and important aspects of the EU acquis. Bosnia and Herzegovina should increase measures to further align the national legislation with the acquis in the areas of agriculture, fisheries, food safety, veterinary and phytosanitary policy, adopting relevant legislation at state level without delays.
