Call for Applications: State of Peace Youth Academy 2026
About the Academy
The State of Peace Youth Academy is a programme for young people from Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Montenegro, and Serbia. The programme offers participants the opportunity to learn from and engage with local, regional, and international stakeholders – including decision makers, civil society activists, and peacebuilding and reconciliation experts, as well as peers – to build new skills, deepen their understanding of transitional justice, and help lay the groundwork for stronger mutual understanding and regional cooperation.
What to Expect
Over 14 days, participants will visit cultural, memorial, and religious sites across Bosnia and Herzegovina, take part in workshops on activism, peacebuilding, human rights, and interreligious dialogue, attend film screenings, theatre performances, and cultural tours, meet with government officials, academics, EU representatives, and local organisations, and connect and network with peers from across the region.
