The EU-funded “Water and Environment Support (WES) in the ENI Southern Neighbourhood Region” project, in partnership with the UfM and UNEP/MAP, has launched the Call to encourage voluntary actions and motivate advancement and commitment to combating pollution by plastics and particularly by Single-Use-Plastics (SUPs).

We are calling on Mediterranean actors to propose new/innovative actions and solutions that prevent pollution from plastics and deliver on their commitments by the summer of 2024.

Timeline:

Submissions of Expressions of Intent: May - July 2023

Deadline for submissions: 31 July 2023 (12 midnight EET)

Evaluation: August – September 2023

Expected implementation of actions: October 2023 – August 2024

Awarding of the winning Champions: Autumn of 2024
