A very warm welcome to the talented and promising youth of the EU JEEL CONNECT Programme.   Your presence here shows the power and potential of our youth in creating a better and brighter future for our societies.  I applaud you for your dedication and commitment to addressing critical issues such as climate change, gender equality, refugees, technology, and education.

 

The world is at a crucial juncture, facing multifaceted challenges that require bold and innovative solutions.  Climate change is forcing us to think differently, prioritize sustainable practices and reshape our economies. Gender equality demands our collective efforts to break down barriers and empower women and girls. The refugee crisis, fuelled by conflict and insecurity, calls for empathy and solidarity as we work towards providing refuge and opportunities for those in need.

Moreover, the power of technology cannot be underestimated, and its impact on our societies is profound. This digital era offers countless opportunities to transform education, revolutionise industries, and promote connectivity. It is essential for us to harness the potential of technology and ensure that no one is left behind in this rapidly evolving landscape.

You have chosen to tackle these pressing issues through your pitches and presentations, and for that, my deepest respect and appreciation.  Your ideas, passion, and determination are what will drive positive change in our communities. You have an unparalleled ability to challenge existing norms, think outside the box, and propose innovative solutions.



You have the full support of the European Union and its member states present here this evening as you navigate through the complexities of these topics. We are committed to amplifying your voices, sharing your ideas, and supporting your initiatives. Through our partnership with Egypt and the JEEL CONNECT Programme, we strive to create an environment that fosters youth empowerment, encourages entrepreneurship, and enhances the impact of your work.

I urge you to seize this opportunity to network, learn from one another, and build meaningful collaborations. Remember that your journey doesn't end here. Your work has the potential to make a lasting impact, not only in your own lives but also in the lives of countless others. Stay committed, passionate, and resilient as you advance the causes that are close to your hearts.
