Celebrating Europe Day 2025 in Jakarta

On 9 May 2025, the EU Ambassador to Indonesia and Brunei Darussalam, H.E. Denis Chaibi, the EU Ambassador to ASEAN, H.E. Sujiro Seam, and the Head of the EIB Regional Representation for Southeast Asia and the Pacific, Mrs Sunita Lukkhoo, jointly hosted a Europe Day reception in Jakarta.

The celebration welcomed over 1,100 guests, including members of the Indonesian presidential cabinet and parliament, senior government officials, representatives from the ASEAN Secretariat, diplomats from EU Member States and other nations, business leaders, civil society representatives, Erasmus alumni, and members of the media.

The event was graced by H.E. Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono, Indonesian Coordinating Minister for Infrastructure and Regional Development, as Guest of Honour. A number of other distinguished dignitaries were also present, including:
