The EU-funded documentary film “Semesta” – directed by Chairun Nissa and produced by Mandy Marahimin and Nicholas Saputra – brings a positive message of how local communities, local wisdoms and values are at the forefront of combating climate change.

Produced under the “EU Support to Indonesia’s Climate Change Response” project, the documentary film explores seven provinces across Indonesia and features the human side of conservation efforts while simultaneously highlighting the diversity of religions, beliefs and cultures across the nation.

The film had its world premiere in November 2019 at the 26th SUNCINE International Environment Film Festival in Barcelona, Spain.

This workshop aims to train young Indonesian leaders, championing climate action and renewable energy. The two-day workshop will be held on 15-16 September 2023 at the Istituto Italiano di Cultura, Jakarta. The workshop is a joint initiative of the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation (MAECI) and the International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA).

In partnership with the World Clean-up Day (WCD), the clean-up will take place along the Banjir Kanal Timur road in East Jakarta on Saturday, 9^th September 2023 from 08:30-10:00 AM.
