Overall Objective
To contribute to a sustainable and traceable palm oil value chain in Kotawaringin Barat district Central Kalimantan and palm oil smallholder farmers are able to continuously invest in sustainability through a cooperative business model.
Specific Objectives

Smallholder farmers practice sustainability and traceability in accordance with ISPO and ISPO standards.

The secondary palm oil cooperative KSMJ adopts sustainability and traceability in its cooperative business and has strengthened its position in the value chain.

Kotawaringin Barat’s district level policies align with sustainability and traceability standards.
Key Outputs
Output 1.1: Smallholder farmers have increased knowledge and technical capacity on sustainability and traceability practices in palm oil cultivation.
Output 1.2: Smallholder farmers are able to apply for ISPO and RSPO certification.
Output 2.1: The secondary palm oil cooperative KSMJ has improved its governance.
Output 2.2: KSMJ is able to improve their operational procedures in accordance with sustainability and traceability standards.
Output 2.3: KSMJ has the capacity to gain and maintain access to markets and value chain support actors.
Output 2.4: KSMJ has the capacity to influence policymakers and other relevant stakeholders.
Output 3.1: District government officials have increased awareness and skills on sustainability and traceability policy gaps and systems.
