Delegation selects logo design to mark the 50th year of EU diplomatic representation in Japan

The selected design is a grouping of letters and “kanji” characters that represent “50”, “EU” and “Japan” in a style reminiscent of traditional Japanese ‘hanko’ seals, expressing the deep and broad relationship that has developed between the EU and Japan over the past decades in an understated manner.
In December, EU Ambassador to Japan Jean-Eric Paquet invited Mr Aoki to the Delegation to personally convey his gratitude for the designer’s interest in Europe and the sophisticated design and present him with a commemorative gift.
The logo will be used on various promotional materials as well as the Delegation’s social media channels (X [ex-Twitter], Facebook, Instagram) during the course of 2024.
