The Global Gateway in Action
Across Zimbabwe, entrepreneurs like Taku and Isaac are building businesses, sharing knowledge and opening doors to new markets.
Through the European Union’s Global Gateway initiative, investments in trade, infrastructure and value chains are helping businesses grow and connect to new opportunities — from farms to packhouses to international shelves.
This campaign highlights real stories of entrepreneurs whose work reflects these investments in action.

With over 500 million euros invested by the EU and EU Member states and Institutions as #TeamEurope, our efforts are delivering tangible results, transforming lives and communities across Zimbabwe.
Taku’s Story:
Taku is shaping excellence every day as a quality controller in Zimbabwe’s export value chain. Her work ensures that produce meets international standards — from checking colour and size to training others in quality control. Through EU-supported investments in trade and export value chains, businesses in Zimbabwe are increasingly able to access international markets, and professionals like Taku are developing the skills that make those connections possible.
From packhouses to export markets, she understands the full journey — and she is helping others grow along the way.

Isaac’s Story:
Isaac is a farmer mastering his hustle and growing his business with determination and ambition. Through EU-supported financing and trade initiatives, entrepreneurs like Isaac are able to access opportunities that help their businesses grow and reach new markets. But Isaac’s story is not only about business growth. In his fields, he shares what he has learned — teaching others how to plant, grow and succeed. His journey shows how far dedication can go: bigger harvests, more income, and new opportunities.

Kariba Dam Rehabilitation Project
A crucial infrastructure project, the Kariba Dam Rehabilitation, is backed by €113.5 million, enhancing water resource management and ensuring the safety and efficiency of this vital resource.
Health Resilience Fund
Team Europe is helping improve health outcomes for women and children in Zimbabwe through this multi-donor fund, which provides resources for maternal, adolescent and children’s health and gender-based violence programmes.
Sustainable Wildlife Management 2
A €3 million biodiversity project supporting conservation of wildlife by communities and ensuring that they benefit from their natural resources. The project is being implemented in the Mucheni Community Conservancy, Binga district
