New call for projects on Business and Human Rights, and discrimination based on gender or religion

03.11.2023

The European Commission has launched a global call for NGO/CSO projects under the thematic programme on human rights and democracy (total budget EUR 36 million). The targeted partners (lead applicants) are typically international NGOs or those with higher capacities, due to the size of the grants and geographic scope (mostly regional/global actions). However, they must have at least one local co-applicant and financial support to local organisations is mandatory.

The lots are as follows:

  • Business and Human Rights (Lot 1)
  • Generalised Scheme of Preferences Plus (GSP+) – special incentive arrangement for sustainable development and good governance (Lot 2)
  • Combatting Forced labour (Lot 3)
  • Equality and inclusion of LGBTIQ persons (Lots 4 and 5)
  • Freedom of Religion or Belief (Lot 6)

You will find more information in the link to the call’s details and Guidelines.

The deadline for submission of concept notes is 31st January 2024.
