Warning: Beware of fraudulent EU grant offers
The EU Delegation to Zimbabwe is warning the public about fraudulent websites and social media advertisements offering fake EU grants, including opportunities circulating under the name “European Union Development Fund (EUDF–Global)”.
These scams can appear convincing, using EU logos, official-looking documents and what appear to be genuine grant award letters. Applicants may subsequently be asked to provide personal or bank details, or to make payments in connection with the supposed grant.
These offers are not official EU funding opportunities.
Members of the public are urged to exercise caution and verify any EU grant opportunity through official EU channels before sharing information or taking any action.

Genuine grant opportunities administered by the EU Delegation to Zimbabwe are published through the Delegation’s official website and official social media channels. Current and previous grant opportunities for Zimbabwe can be found here:

The public is advised to:
- Check that a grant opportunity appears on an official EU website or official EU Delegation social media channel.
- Be cautious of websites, emails or social media accounts that only appear to be affiliated with the EU.
- Never provide bank details, identity documents or other sensitive information to an unverified source.
- Never pay a fee in order to receive or process a purported EU grant.
- When in doubt, verify the opportunity directly with the EU Delegation before taking any action.
If an EU grant opportunity is not published through official EU channels, please treat it with caution and verify it first.
